Technical Account Manager Railway Infrastructure
Our client is a leading industrial player in the railway infrastructure sector, providing a comprehensive range of products and services for the construction, maintenance and renewal of rail networks across Europe. Combining strong industrial capabilities with a growing focus on sustainability, the company is actively developing circular economy solutions aimed at extending the lifecycle of railway materials through recycling, recovery and reuse initiatives.
Business Development & Key Account Management
- Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with railway contractors, infrastructure stakeholders and industrial clients.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across railway infrastructure and circular economy activities.
- Promote a broad portfolio of products and solutions dedicated to rail construction, maintenance and renewal projects.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs and upcoming projects.
- Build a strong network within the Belgian railway ecosystem.
Technical & Commercial Support
- Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications and tender documents.
- Advise customers on the most suitable technical and commercial solutions.
- Support contractors and project teams during the preparation of bids and project proposals.
- Coordinate with production and operational teams regarding product availability, lead times and technical feasibility.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the primary interface between customers and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between commercial, technical and operational teams.
- Ensure alignment between customer commitments and operational capabilities.
- Follow projects closely and proactively address challenges and opportunities.
Circular Economy Development
- Identify opportunities related to material recovery, recycling and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
- Promote the use of recycled and reclaimed materials within railway projects.
- Contribute to the development and growth of circular economy activities.
- Support strategic initiatives aimed at creating greater value from recovered railway materials.
Profiel
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a technical-commercial, project management or business development role.
- Experience in at least one of the following sectors:
- Circular economy
- Recycling and recovered materials
- Aggregates
- Concrete products
- Construction materials
- Civil engineering
- Railway infrastructure
Experience within the railway industry is a strong asset, but candidates from adjacent sectors with relevant technical expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of construction materials, infrastructure projects or industrial environments.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and project requirements.
- Experience working with contractors, engineering firms or infrastructure stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset combined with technical credibility.
Languages
- Fluent French with a professional level of Dutch
