Job description

Job Description

Welcome to Wyre, a brand-new infrastructure company building the network of the future. Born from the partnership between Telenet and Fluvius in 2023, Wyre has rapidly grown from start-up to ambitious scale-up. As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for people who see opportunities, take initiative and embrace change. At Wyre, you can make an impact on both the network of the future and the organisation we are building around it. Our values, Be Ambitious, Be Brave, Be Real & Be One, shape a culture of connection where people share knowledge, achieve results together, and have the opportunity to grow.

Working In The MRO Network Essentials Team

The MRO Network Essentials team builds the backbone of the Wyre fiber network. Where the design team maps the POP areas, we make sure the HUBs, the feeders, and the POP infrastructure are actually there on time and fully connected. Without a working HUB and a connected feeder, every POP area remains a drawing.

Your Responsibilities As Team Manager Network Essentials
  • You lead, coach and develop the team, and provide clear priorities, roles, responsibilities whilst guarding the workload of your team.
  • You translate the annual targets into concrete planning and deliverables for partners.
  • You oversee the timely execution wtih partner network (4-5) of this planning and intervene when capacity or quality comes under pressure.
  • You confirm the HUB priority and the feeder connection point per MRO area and make sure that input is available on time for design and build teams as well as partners.
  • You align your planning with the other Ftth departments to make sure they all follow the rollout rhythm, but also cross-departments.
  • You follow up production, FAT and SAT testing, and the installation of HUB and POP equipment with our partners, safeguarding scope, quality and lead time.
  • You monitor the budget and cost evolution of your domain and flag deviations in time, with a well-founded proposal for corrective action.
  • You report weekly to management, in clear figures and with one clear key message: On progress, bottlenecks (ad hoc but more importantly structural), plan versus actual, and improvement actions to shorten lead time of HUBs and feeders.
  • You build strong partner relationships and guard SLA's by being the SPOC for all your partners.
Our Ideal Team Manager Network Essentials
  • You hold a master's degree in engineering, telecom... or have equivalent experience.
  • You have experience leading a technical team or steering technical projects and partners in an operational environment.
  • You are pragmatic and solution-oriented, and you take decisions even when not all information is available.
  • You have experience in project and contract management, steering partners and suppliers on results, SLA's all whilst keeping the relationship constructive.
  • You have experience in telecom, utilities or infrastructure, and feel at home in a large-scale rollout with many simultaneous works.
  • You understand how an FTTH network is built: HUB, feeder, POP, ducts and fiber routes, and how these elements either move the rollout forward or block it.
  • You are comfortable with budget follow-up and reporting based on reliable figures. Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a strong plus.
  • Experience with permits, synergies, contractors or installation and testing processes such as FAT and SAT is a strong asset.
  • You communicate clearly with technical, operational and management profiles, in Dutch and English. French is a plus.
What We Offer
  • You join a company that invests fully in you and tailors the working environment to your needs, so you can develop yourself while safeguarding your work-life balance.
  • You get all the space to further build your expertise through extensive learning and growth opportunities.
  • You work with passionate colleagues who build one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in Belgium every day.
  • You take on a role with real leverage: without your HUBs and feeders, not a single home comes online.
  • You receive a competitive salary, complemented by an extensive package of fringe benefits.
