VITO Mol invites applications for a Team Manager RESYST/PRISMA to lead a multidisciplinary group of researchers, engineers, project managers and technical experts. You will combine people leadership, strategic thinking and project oversight to grow the team and maximize impact.

You will shape the future direction by identifying opportunities, building partnerships and translating emerging needs into innovative Earth Observation, AI and remote sensing projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Geomatics, or related discipline.
• Proven track record in developing and coordinating successful project proposals within ESA, Horizon Europe, VLAIO, BELSPO or similar programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences at national and international levels.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch is a strong asset.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to translate opportunities into concrete projects and partnerships.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of thriving in dynamic environments.

Responsabilités

• You lead, coach and inspire a growing team of researchers, engineers and project managers to foster collaboration and development.
• You oversee operational follow-up of research, innovation and valorisation projects within the team.
• You allocate people and resources across projects considering capacity and priorities.
• You contribute to defining and executing the strategic vision and roadmap for RESYST and PRISMA.
• You identify trends and translate insights into strategic priorities and future opportunities.
• You lead business development and participate in proposals for ESA, Horizon Europe, VLAIO, BELSPO and other funding programmes.
• You build and maintain a strong network of industrial, governmental, academic and international stakeholders.
