VITO in Mol, Belgium, is seeking an Earth Observation Platform Team Manager. You will lead 15–20 researchers, IT architects/engineers and project managers, coaching and developing the team to maximize performance and growth.

You will oversee ground-segment EO platform projects, allocate resources, align with the Program Manager and PMO, and foster collaboration across departments to deliver tailored, science‑led solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in needs analysis, project acquisitions and scientific research management.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and strong strategic thinking.
• Experience with Earth Observation services (Copernicus) and tender processes.
• Excellent communication and networking skills across organizational levels.

Responsabilités

• Lead a growing team of 15–20 researchers, IT architects/engineers and project managers.
• Oversee engineering activities and manage EO ground-seg projects, allocating resources.
• Promote collaboration across teams and experts to achieve mutual goals.
• Conduct needs analyses and develop tailored solutions using scientific insights.
• Oversee bid management and tender preparation with Business Development.
• Monitor market and social trends to inform strategic roadmaps and new services.
• Expand internal and external networks and represent the team in various forums.
