Ghent University invites applications for a Teaching assistant in European, Public and International Law. The role supports practice-based teaching, supervises seminars, and guides master theses in Human Rights. Candidates should hold a Master in Law or equivalent, with strong Dutch and English skills and relevant experience.

The appointment is for one year at 10%, with renewal possible yearly up to 30%. Start date 1 November 2026; benefits include education opportunities and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Master in Law or an equal degree required.
• Experience in international human rights law is advantageous.
• Excellent oral and written Dutch and English required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in practice-based teaching at the department, organizing, counseling and assessing practical exercises and seminars.
• Provide guidance to master theses in the field of Human Rights.
• Contribute to the service of the department.
