Job summary

EY Belgium is seeking a Risk & Credits Transformation Consultant to join our Business Transformation team. You will work with financial institutions to modernize credit and risk value chains, from origination to reporting, ensuring pragmatic, data‑driven solutions and measurable improvements.

The role emphasizes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement across projects. You will contribute to shaping risk and credit strategies, supporting regulatory change implementation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Professional experience (typically 2–5 years) in consulting and/or financial sector, ideally in credit risk, risk management, or credit/lending transformation.
• Familiarity with credit risk frameworks, IRB/rating models, IFRS 9, Basel/CRR-CRD, credit processes and lending products, BCBS 239 / RDARR, or regulatory remediation programs.
• Excellent business English; solid level of French and/or Dutch.
• Strong autonomy and teamwork balance.
• Excellent analytical and pragmatic delivery skills.
• Solid communication and presentation skills; stakeholder and team leadership at Manager level.
• Certifications such as Agile, Scrum, PMP/Prince2, FRM, PRM or CFA are advantageous for experienced candidates.
• Knowledge of lending products and processes (e.g., Consumer Loans, Mortgages, Corporate & SME lending) is a major asset.

Responsibilities

• Designing and shaping risk and credit operating models for financial institutions.
• Translate regulatory requirements into workable business solutions and deliver measurable risk improvements.
• Redesign credit risk processes, policies and controls for efficiency and automation.
• Bridge business, risk and data; define requirements for rating and provisioning models and risk reporting.
• Ensure risk/ business perspective remains central to digital and data-driven solutions.
• Manage projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, budgeting and staffing (Manager level).
• For Manager profiles: lead workstreams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development.
• Share domain knowledge to enhance EY's collective capabilities.
