Job summary

In4Matic's client in Belgium seeks a driven procurement professional to strengthen a dynamic team focused on high-voltage substation projects. You will own strategic purchasing for project-based works, collaborating with internal experts, project teams, and external partners to shape sourcing decisions and support ongoing contracts.

You will lead tender processes, define procurement strategies, negotiate terms, and build long-term category plans while ensuring compliance and cost control.

Qualifications

• Strong procurement or sourcing experience, ideally in a technical or project-based environment.
• Ability to manage complex tenders and negotiate contractual conditions.
• Translate business and project needs into sourcing strategies.
• Work well with internal stakeholders, technical experts, and external suppliers.
• Proactive, analytical, and able to build long-term value within your category.
• Clear communication in a cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement process, including market publication, tender analysis, negotiations, offer evaluation, and project award.
• Lead the setup and execution of tendering procedures.
• Define and implement project procurement strategies based on market insight.
• Work closely with internal specialists and colleagues to align project needs with market capabilities.
• Build expertise in market and technical domain of your category and contribute to long-term strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify business needs, improvements, and opportunities.
• Support procurement objectives and transversal initiatives through category and market knowledge.
• Share market insights with internal stakeholders during negotiations on contractual terms.
• Support project teams and contract managers in the commercial and contractual follow-up of projects in execution, including monitoring additional costs and ensuring compliance with contract terms such as quality, planning, and safety.
• Develop sustainable relationships with contractors in close cooperation with the supplier management function.
• Contribute to the introduction of new ways of working within the team.
• Align with a counterpart in another European market to exchange insights and best practices.
