Job summary

Editx Leuven is seeking a Functional Analyst to design and plan preliminary analyses for banking and insurance projects. You will translate business needs into functional designs and support changes from development to production.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in banking/insurance functional design, 3+ years as an analyst, Java/Java SDK experience, and strong Agile, IT security, Jira/Confluence skills. This hybrid, full-time role offers a collaborative team in Leuven.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in functional design of information systems in banking or insurance.
• 3+ years as a functional analyst in complex technical environments.
• 2+ years of software development with Java and Java SDK.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of IT security and open systems.
• Proficient with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player with clear and structured communication.
• Fluent in English with active knowledge of Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Create the concept and manage the planning for preliminary analysis and design phases.
• Perform functional analysis of information systems and deliver functional designs following pre-studies.
• Support changes and enhancements throughout the lifecycle from development to production.
• Recommend and implement strategic system enhancements to optimize performance.
• Develop new program requirements and specifications to address specific business needs.
• Analyze service requests to determine feasibility, technological changes, resource requirements, and time estimates.
