Shurgard Self-Storage is seeking a Cost Accountant to support monitoring, analysis and reporting of major expense categories across Europe. You will collaborate with Finance, Procurement, IT and Marketing to drive cost control and provide insights for leadership.

Requirements include 5+ years in accounting, IFRS/local GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel and SAP experience, and English fluency with French or German a plus. Some travel may be needed and you will work with the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in accounting, finance or economics or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years in accounting.
• Experience in Services or Retail is required.
• Fluent in English; French or German is a strong asset.
• Exposure to multi-country/shared service center is a plus.
• Familiarity with IFRS/local GAAP is a plus.
• Advanced Excel; SAP experience required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and analyze major expense categories (IT, marketing, consultancy) and report for the Group.
• Oversee invoice and purchase order cycle admin and postings.
• Support month-end closing, accruals, reconciliations, intercompany recharges and adjustments.
• Analyze variances vs budget/forecast, prepare commentary.
