Job summary

Michael Page (Belgium) partners with an international energy group in Brussels to recruit a Financial Controller focused on SAP CO and cost allocation cycles. The role blends management accounting, cost analysis and rigorous data validation within a multilingual, globally connected environment.

You will design and implement cost allocation methodologies, generate insightful management reports, and support strategic decision-making across finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in controlling, management accounting or financial reporting within a complex international setting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, lookups and handling large data sets.
• Strong understanding of cost allocation concepts and data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• SAP CO and allocation cycles: maintain, execute, review and troubleshoot cost allocation cycles across cost centres, activities, departments, products and other dimensions.
• Management accounting: support analytical accounting principles, cost-centre structures, cost-driver logic and allocation methodologies.
• Direct and indirect costs: analyse cost flows and validate allocation keys for consistent, transparent costing.
• Reporting and analysis: develop and maintain management reports; analyse actual vs budget/forecast; explain variances.
• Data quality and reconciliation: consolidate, review, and validate large financial and operational data; reconcile SAP with reporting and records.
• Excel-based modelling: build and maintain efficient reporting tools using advanced formulas, PivotTables, lookups and structured datasets.
• Process improvement: identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting and allocation processes with stronger controls.
• Management support: prepare clear financial analyses and ad hoc reports for management and stakeholders.
