Pauwels Consulting in Belgium seeks a procurement professional to lead strategic EU procurement of electrical equipment, from market analysis to contract execution.

You will collaborate with engineering and asset management, define selection criteria, and promote sustainable procurement while traveling occasionally to international offices.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or Economics with a strong technical focus.
• 3+ years of experience in public procurement, project management, or a technical context.
• Fluency in French, Dutch, and English; strong contract negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Analyze global markets and suppliers to define long-term procurement plans for strategic assets.
• Collaborate with technical and asset management to align procurement strategies with stakeholders.
• Execute end-to-end EU procurement procedures, including selection and awarding criteria.
• Implement sustainable procurement policies and optimize processes, methods, and tools.
• Manage a complete family of assets autonomously within a global scope and coordinate cross-border cooperation.

Our client is a prominent player in the European energy landscape focused on the reliability and sustainability of power grids. The role focuses on the strategic procurement of electrical equipment, managing the entire process from market analysis and strategy to contract execution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze global markets and potential suppliers to anticipate requirements and define long-term procurement plans for strategic assets.
• Collaborate with technical and asset management departments to align procurement strategies with internal stakeholder needs.
• Execute end-to-end EU procurement procedures, including the definition of selection and awarding criteria.
• Implement sustainable procurement policies and contribute to the optimization of internal processes, methods, and tools.
• Manage a complete family of assets autonomously within a global scope while fostering synergies across different organizational entities.
• Coordinate cross-border cooperation between internal departments and international suppliers.

Requirements

• You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or Economics with a strong technical focus.
• You bring 3+ years of experience in public procurement, project management, or a technical context.
• You possess knowledge of Microsoft Office and have an affinity for legal terminology and contract negotiation.
• You are analytical, result-driven, and possess strong organizational skills with a solution-oriented approach.
• You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English.

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of Ariba.
• Working knowledge of German.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to international offices.
