EURAXESS Ireland is looking for a Senior Integrated Photonic System Architect to join its PICSYS team in Leuven, Belgium. The role involves developing next-generation integrated photonic systems, focusing on high-speed optical communication and integrated photonic inertial sensing.

Candidates should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics or Physics, along with several years of relevant experience. The position offers a multicultural work environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Several years of post-PhD experience in integrated photonic or electro-photonic system architecture.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire working competence in adjacent system domains.

Responsabilités

• Translate system-level requirements into PIC, EIC, and DSP specifications.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end behavioral models of integrated photonic systems.
• Work daily with PIC design, EIC, packaging, and characterization teams.
