EURAXESS Czech Republic is seeking a Senior Integrated Photonic System Architect to work in Leuven, Belgium, as part of a multidisciplinary team at imec. This role will involve architecture and system-level realization of integrated photonic systems focused on high-speed optical communications and sensing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in photonics, a PhD in a related field, and solid experience in system architecture. The opportunity comes with a market-appropriate salary and various fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• Several years of post-PhD experience in integrated photonic or electro-photonic system architecture.
• Primary expertise in high-speed optical communication systems or integrated photonic inertial sensing.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Translate system-level requirements into specifications.
• Develop behavioral models of integrated photonic systems.
• Collaborate with PIC design and characterization teams.
• Contribute to research projects on optical interconnects.
• Produce technical reports and publications.
• Lead proposal writing for funding.
