Job summary

KEYES is seeking a Backup & Storage Engineer to maintain and advance our Data Protection portfolio across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with enterprise-grade hardware and software, contribute to backup architecture, and participate in presales to showcase our services.

A strong ITIL background and 5+ years in a similar role are required. You will collaborate with operations and clients to tailor solutions, ensuring cloud-provider agnostic approaches and robust data lifecycle

Qualifications

• Master degree in computer science or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in a similar function
• Experience with Dataprotection Tools (DELL PPDM, NetBackup, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect)
• ITIL knowledge and use
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, PHP, Python, PowerShell, REST APIs
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, AIX and other OS
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure (network/storage/virtualization/containerization)
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) is a plus

• Manage operating procedures, data migration, and on-prem/off-prem DevOps
• Contribute to the design and evolution of backup architecture with operations

THE BACKGROUND

We use our onprem infrastructure and onprem/offprem cloud services, using enterprise grade hardware and software, providing a wide variety of solutions, from replicated backups across our datacenters to crypto analysis of backups using IA. We manageon demand and scheduled DR exercises (on site and/or as acustomer level).

YOUR MISSION

• Maintain/upgrade/manage our Data Protection portfolio through an innovative approach and a vision focused on market demands
• Be responsible for operating procedures, data migration, and development operations (on-prem/off-prem)
• Possibility to contribute to the design and evolution of backup architecture in close collaboration with the operational team responsible for backup, recovery, and data lifecycle management processes.
• Take part in presales activities to answer requests for proposals, present, and defend KEYES’ Data Protection services portfolio to customers
• Analyze the needs of customers and prospects, assess the feasibility of their projects, and advise on possible technical solutions
• Provide solutions that are cloud-provider agnostic to meet customers’ needs and preferences
• Identify and communicate with major stakeholders and other third parties and partners

YOUR PROFILE

Technical skills

• Master degree in computer science or relevant field
• 5+ years of experience in a similar function
• Experience with and strong understanding of Dataprotection Tools (DELL PPDM, netbackup, Veeam, IBM Spectrum Protect...) and their Cloud possibilities
• ITIL knowledge and use
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java, PHP, Python, PowerShell, use of RESTapi
• Knowledge of Most Operating systems, Windows, Linux (all brands), AIX…
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure (network/storage/virtualization/containerization/security/HA-PowerHA/Clusters/DBs)
• Understand the technical aspects/restriction/security/challenges of running in a mutualized infrastructure
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/Red Hat OpenShift) is a plus
