Aerospacelab is seeking a Satellite Cybersecurity Architect to define and own the cybersecurity architecture across our satellite platforms, setting secure development practices, designing secure boot, and managing cryptographic keys across the fleet. You will work with Satellite Software, Embedded, and FPGA/EE teams to embed security from the start and ensure verification with V&V.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems security (C, Python).
• Practical experience with secure boot, trusted execution, or hardware root-of-trust concepts.
• Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and key management practices (symmetric/asymmetric).
• Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate security decisions to multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Define and own the satellite cybersecurity architecture across on-board software and hardware.
• Establish secure coding standards and development best practices.
• Design and implement secure boot and trusted execution methodologies.
• Define and manage cryptographic key management across satellite platforms and missions.
• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments on satellite software and links.
• Define security requirements and ensure traceability through V&V.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to embed security from the start.
• Coordinate with operators and ground IT security teams to maintain security end-to-end.
• Stay updated on emerging space cybersecurity threats and standards.
