Job summary

Arcsec is seeking a System Engineer to shape and coordinate the development of an advanced optical sensing and on-board processing system for autonomous space applications. You will translate mission needs into architecture, requirements and interfaces across sensors, optics, electronics, embedded software and algorithms, focusing on end-to-end verification.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical, systems engineering or applied physics.
• Experience with system architecture, requirements engineering and interface management.
• Ability to reason across optics, electronics, embedded software and mechanics.
• Strong analytical writing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission objectives into system, subsystem and interface requirements.
• Define and maintain end-to-end architecture across sensors, hardware, software and algorithms.
• Lead multidisciplinary trade-offs on performance, SWaP, timing and data throughput.
• Manage interfaces, budgets, assumptions, traceability and risks.
• Coordinate integration planning and resolve cross-functional issues.
• Define verification methods and lead system-level reviews and end-to-end demos.
