Job summary

Arcsec is seeking engineers to develop real-time software connecting optical sensors, processing electronics and advanced algorithms for autonomous space systems. You will translate prototypes into robust software for flight-representative embedded platforms with attention to timing, memory, throughput and testability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, electrical engineering, embedded systems or a related field.
• Strong C or C++ skills and experience developing reliable software close to hardware.
• Experience with embedded Linux, real-time systems, device interfaces, multithreaded software.
• Hands-on use of Git, debugging tools, automated testing and clear technical documentation.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience with AI assisted workflows and actively use and improve them.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test embedded software for high-rate optical sensor and multi-camera processing systems.
• Integrate algorithm modules for prediction, detection, tracking and state estimation into real-time processing pipelines.
• Develop hardware interfaces, data acquisition, time synchronisation, buffering and health-monitoring functions.
• Optimise CPU load, memory use, latency and data throughput on resource-constrained processing platforms.
• Build unit, integration and hardware-in-the-loop tests using simulated and laboratory data.
• Support system bring-up, debugging, performance verification and technical documentation.

Job description

You will develop the real-time software that connects optical sensors, processing electronics and advanced algorithms in autonomous space systems. You will translate algorithm prototypes into robust, efficient software for flight-representative embedded platforms, with close attention to timing, memory use, throughput, reliability and testability. Your work will span low-level interfaces, processing pipelines, system integration and hardware-in-the-loop validation.
