Capgemini Engineering Belgium is seeking an experienced Architect to join our elite Life Sciences team, shaping the digital backbone of pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will design end-to-end architectures that connect ERP, MES, LIMS, DCS and BMS systems into a coherent ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline with at least 3 years as a Solution/Enterprise Architect in complex digital transformation programs.
• Experience within Life Sciences or a regulated industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of integrating ERP, MES, LIMS, DCS and BMS into digital manufacturing ecosystems.

You will be part of an elite team of architects shaping the digital backbone of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Belgium. In this role you will play a key role in:

• Designing end-to-end solution architectures that integrate key manufacturing systems (ERP, MES, LIMS, DCS, BMS) into a coherent, scalable, and compliant digital manufacturing ecosystem aligned with client business objectives
• Translating complex business and operational requirements into robust technical architectures, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, future-proof, and compliant with GxP and data integrity standards
• Providing architectural governance and technical leadership across project delivery teams, reviewing designs, validating integration approaches, and ensuring consistency across the solution landscape
• Collaborating with client IT, operations, and quality stakeholders to assess the current technology landscape, identify gaps, and define a clear roadmap for digital transformation aligned with industry best practices
• Supporting pre-sales and solution design activities by contributing to proposals, capability demonstrations, and client workshops, helping to shape Capgemini Engineering's architectural offering in the Life Sciences sector

Your profile

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline, and bring at least 3 years of experience as a Solution or Enterprise Architect in complex digital transformation programs, ideally within Life Sciences or another regulated industry
• You have strong knowledge of manufacturing technology ecosystems including one or more of the following: SAP (ERP), Siemens Opcenter or AVEVA (MES), LabWare (LIMS), DeltaV (DCS), or Honeywell (BMS), and understand how these systems integrate within a digital manufacturing environment
• You are experienced in architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g.,TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent) and are comfortable leading technical discussions at both strategic and detailed design levels
• You bring a collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an asset
