TVH Group is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our international Parts Data team. You will develop and improve backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern architectural practices.

You will own features, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive quality, maintainability, and performance across services. You will collaborate in an inclusive environment, apply Clean Code and SOLID principles, and have opportunities to expand your scope over time, including cloud-native

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Java with Spring Boot and OOP concepts.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Clean Code.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and testing (JUnit/JUnit5).
• Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and trade-offs.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with cloud development on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2, and ForgeRock.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Hibernate.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Java Engineer, you take responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of our applications and contribute to the team’s development practices. Using your technical expertise, you assess the feasibility of proposed functional analyses and translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You contribute to architectural discussions and proactively recommend improvements, applying Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and SOLID principles thoughtfully.

Java development with Spring Boot is your main expertise, with opportunities to expand your scope over time. You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and help resolve incidents and problems within your domain.

You actively contribute to team discussions, share knowledge, and support fellow developers through constructive feedback and guidance. You also participate in initiatives that encourage technical exploration, experimentation, and continuous improvement of our codebase and the way we work together.

How to succeed / Your profile

• A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills, with experience using Spring Boot.
• A good understanding of SOLID principles and a commitment to Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and maintainable solutions.
• The ability to contribute to architectural discussions, explain technical choices, and consider their trade-offs.
• A reliable, collaborative approach: you take responsibility, actively contribute to discussions, and help the team move forward.
• A continuous improvement mindset: you seek feedback, share what you learn, and look for ways to improve your skills, our codebase, and team practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of cloud development using Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.

• A good understanding of REST, JSON, JUnit Jupiter, Domain-Driven Design, Hibernate, and unit and integration testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with test-driven development (TDD).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Flyway, ArgoCD, Kong, GitLab, Jenkins, Kafka, Akeyless, ELK, and Grafana.
• Experience with Mockito, WireMock, and Testcontainers.
• Experience with event-driven architecture in a microservice landscape.
• Experience proactively maintaining and improving a large, complex codebase.
