Qualifications

• 5+ years as a specialist architect in applications and infrastructure.
• 5+ years of professional Java software architecture experience.
• Proven experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Extensive knowledge of modeling techniques and tools (Archimate, TOGAF, UML, Sparx EA).
• Strong Spring Boot and container technology expertise.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on problem solving and guiding development teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. (Dutch native)

Our client, a prominent public sector organization, is seeking a Software Architect to optimize various Java-based applications and oversee future development projects. The role focuses on designing high-quality software architectures while professionalizing internal processes and collaborating with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design software architectures for Java applications and create high-level and low-level designs.
• Oversee architectural principles and security guidelines to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to guide the implementation of technical solutions.
• Support the integration of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Provide hands-on guidance to development teams by creating technical samples and translating theory into practice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a specialist architect within application and infrastructure domains.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java software architecture.
• Proven experience with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
• Extensive knowledge of modeling techniques and tools such as Archimate, TOGAF, UML, or Sparx EA.
• Strong technical proficiency in Spring Boot and container technology.
• You possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
• You have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and guiding development teams.
• You bring strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• You are a native speaker of Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Azure services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Security.
• Familiarity with public sector architectural guidelines and frameworks.
• Knowledge of general business processes and project management facets like cost and coordination.
