Editx is recruiting a Software Architect for a Brussels-based role. You will lead the GIS Foundation architecture and work with business, GIS and IT stakeholders to shape a robust GIS landscape.

The role focuses on deployment strategies (on-prem and cloud), security, governance, and designing scalable GIS environments. You will define the technical methodology and drive architectural best practices across projects.

Our client in Brussels is looking for a Software Architect to join their team.

This company is known worldwide for their GIS solutions for various sectors. In doing so, they help larger players, local governments, universities, map providers including NATO and Proximus with spatial analysis, map making and location intelligence to make better informed decisions. They also provide training and support to their customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. In doing so, they use the latest technologies.

To support their growth, they are currently looking for a Software Architect.

Some of your duties include:

• You lead the architecture and design of the GIS Foundation.
• You work with business, GIS and IT stakeholders to develop a GIS architecture that meets functional requirements.
• You design GIS environments with a focus on business continuity, deployment (on-prem/cloud), security, governance and application architecture.
• You define the technical methodology for implementation.
• You contribute to technical analyses, such as requirements gathering and gap analyses.
• You are responsible for design documentation.
• You supervise the project team and monitor compliance with the architectural design.
