Job summary

Xintas is seeking a qualified Solution Architect for the IT Architecture department in Belgium. The role focuses on optimizing IT infrastructure and the application landscape, with involvement in transformation initiatives in the (Electrical) Assets domain.

The ideal candidate designs and adapts technical solutions to business challenges, collaborates with stakeholders, and applies ArchiMate, TOGAF and ATAM standards to ensure scalable, resilient architectures.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in Solution Architecture.
• Agile mindset; experience in Agile environment is a plus.
• Good level of Dutch and/or French and English.

Responsibilities

• Adopt and analyze constraints, non-functional and functional requirements.
• Decompose business capabilities into solution building blocks using reference architectures.
• Serve as the key link aligning stakeholders in Product, Architecture, and delivery teams.
• Be part of the delivery team to ensure solution delivery per design.
• Deliver architecture designs aligned with Architecture Vision, standards and guidelines.
• Provide designs with integration, application architecture, and available tools.
• Follow governance (Design Boards) for gating and decision making (ADR, ATAM).

For the Solution Architecture function within the IT Architecture department, our client needs a qualified and dedicated Solution Architect.

A key aspect in the mission of the Solution Architect is to ensure our client optimizes its IT infrastructure and Application Landscape — and to do that, we need a qualified and dedicated solution architect.

Ideal candidates excel at designing or adapting technical solutions to address business challenges while simultaneously modernizing the application landscape.

The solution architect will be deeply involved in transformation initiatives in the (Electrical) Assets domain, regularly interacting with business and IT stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities

As a member of the IT architecture department, the Solution Architect will:

• Adopt and analyze constraints, non-functional and functional requirements.
• Conduct appropriate decomposition within the specifics of the business capability resulting in relevant Solution Building Blocks using recommended Architectural styles and patterns (based on Reference Architectures)
• Serve as the key link aligning all relevant stakeholders in the Product Organization, the Architecture team as well as the delivery team.
• be part of the delivery team as such ensuring solution delivery in accordance with the design.
• Deliver Architecture Designs in accordance with the Groups’ Architecture Vision, standards and guidelines.
• Provide designs following your experience in integration design, application architecture, and available tools.
• In the design lifecycle, following the governance structures (Design Boards) for gating and decision making (using techniques such as: ADR, ATAM)

Ideal Profile

The consultant must meet the following requirements:

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in the position of Solution Architecture
• Able to work autonomously and take initiative for engaging with people at all levels
• Is result oriented.
• Have an Agile mindset, working experience in an Agile environment is a plus.
• Experience in GIS solutions, especially based on ArcGIS, is a plus.
• Experience in Asset Management is a plus.
• Experienced in applying IT Standards, such as ArchiMate, TOGAF, ATAM, CBAM
• Able to work in a team and is always open for feedback from his/her peers.
• Familiar with Architecture Modeling Languages such as Archimate. An experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect is a big plus.
• Familiar with the principles of Domain Driven Design (DDD), and the principles, opportunities, and challenges of modern architectural paradigms such as microservices and event driven architectures. And knows how to apply them.
• Always keen to learn new things, share your knowledge, embrace change and learn from past experiences. Drawing on a whiteboard to facilitate a debate comes natural to you.
• Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required.
