Job summary

Novartis Puurs site in Belgium is seeking a seasoned DDIT OPS Robotics Expert ITOT to own the robotics technology strategy for the manufacturing site. The role bridges advanced robotics with site needs, translating scouting into deployable solutions on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in robotics, strong knowledge of GMP/data integrity, and fluent Dutch and English to collaborate with global and local partners. This hybrid role supports flexible, secure operations at Puurs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years of demonstrated experience in robotics, with hands-on implementation and deployment of industrial robotics solutions.
• Experience defining technical standards, User Requirement Specifications (URSs), and vendor evaluation criteria.
• Strong understanding of robotics hardware, integration, and automation architectures.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, data integrity (ALCOA+), and validation principles in regulated manufacturing.
• Proven experience in managing robotics portfolio, including budgets and project pipelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging global and local partners.
• Fluent Dutch and English language skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Own the site robotics technology strategy and keep it refreshed against market and vendor developments.
• Evaluate standards and strategy, harmonizing requirements across platforms and global ways of working.
• Own URSs and the technology & robotics roadmap.
• Translate scouted technologies into standardized, site-ready deployment packages.
• Maintain Robotics Catalog per process step, ensuring availability and details are current.
• Lead technology and market scouting with focus on computer vision, automated inspection, and physical AI.
• Evaluate vendor capability and performance and collaborate with Procurement on supplier management.
• Ensure alignment with sites so technologies are piloted and adopted, incorporating feedback into roadmap cycles.
• Report progress to the Robotics Steering Committee and support roadmap approvals.
• Ensure GMP compliance and security protocols.
