Job summary

ABB Robotics & Discrete Automation seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead on-site automation and electrical works at customer sites in Belgium. You will coordinate teams, manage safety on site and ensure high-quality execution from preparation through commissioning.

You will guide technicians, collaborate with suppliers, and translate engineering intent into hands-on outcomes, while traveling to sites in Belgium or abroad as required.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electricity, electromechanics or automation.
• On-site execution experience in industrial automation, preferably intralogistics.
• Proven ability to lead and coach technical teams on-site.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation.
• Hands-on, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong ownership, safety awareness and quality focus.
• Good communication with colleagues, customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site activities.
• Supervise external suppliers and subcontractors on-site.
• Take ownership of on-site coordination.
• Organize safety introductions for ABB colleagues and subcontractors.
• Lead toolbox meetings and ensure safety compliance.
• Act as main on-site contact for customer and stakeholders.
• Coach and supervise technicians; translate engineering intent to execution.
• Support installation, troubleshooting and commissioning activities on-site.
• Provide feedback to engineering for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to lessons learned and standardization across projects.
