Job summary

RemoteJobsOne is seeking a Shopify Specialist contractor to contribute subject-matter expertise on e-commerce workflows and analytics. You will help train AI systems by providing high-quality input and feedback on real-world Shopify tasks.

The role requires 5+ years in the Shopify ecosystem across store ops, development, or analytics, with deep knowledge of orders, products, customers, and reporting. Remote Belgium-based; 5–10 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of deep Shopify experience across store operations, development or analytics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Shopify data model (orders, products, customers, reporting).
• Strong foundation in e-commerce analytics including conversion, retention, cohort and revenue.
• Proven ability to communicate feedback clearly in written and verbal form.
• Experience advising on best practices for structuring Shopify analytics work.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, actionable written and verbal feedback on realism and completeness of analytical scenarios.
• Advise on Shopify core data objects—orders, products, customers, and reporting.
• Highlight gaps, edge cases, or unrealistic assumptions in scenario framing.
• Recommend improvements to task structures, terminology, and metrics based on best practices.
• Validate terminology against standard Shopify/e-commerce analytics language.
• Suggest additional cases or refinements to reflect operator and analyst perspectives.

We are engaging Shopify Specialists to contribute subject-matter expertise for a customer project focused on e-commerce workflows and analytics. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

1. Review proposed Shopify and e-commerce task structures, identifying where they diverge from actual platform workflows and data models.
2. Provide clear, actionable written and verbal feedback on the realism and completeness of analytical scenarios and deliverables.
3. Advise on Shopify's core data objects—including orders, products, customers, and reporting to ensure analytic tasks align with real-world use.
4. Highlight gaps, edge cases, or unrealistic assumptions in scenario framing, drawing on direct hands‑on experience.
5. Recommend improvements to task structures, terminology, and metrics based on best practices in the Shopify and e-commerce ecosystem.
6. Validate that terminology and definitions are consistent with standard Shopify/e-commerce analytics language.
7. Suggest additional cases or refinements to better reflect the operator and analyst perspective.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 5+ years of deep, hands‑on experience within the Shopify ecosystem—across store operations, development, or analytics.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of Shopify's data model (orders, products, customers, reporting).
3. Strong foundation in e-commerce analytics, including conversion, retention, cohort, and revenue measurements.
4. Proven ability to communicate feedback clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
5. Direct experience advising on best practices for structuring Shopify-related analytical work.
6. Experience with multiple Shopify stores, or as a consultant or agency professional (nice to have).
7. Familiarity with Shopify Plus, advanced reporting, and analytical tools such as SQL or BI platforms (e.g., Looker) is a plus.
