Vestas Benelux seeks Service Technicians to assemble, operate, and maintain wind turbines under contract in Belgium. Roles require electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic backgrounds and hands-on problem solving.

As part of the Onshore Technician team, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and support projects on various sites, with travel as needed. Living near Beerse or willing to relocate is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or degree within electricity and/or mechanics.
• Hydraulic experience is an advantage.
• Professional experience in this area; Basic knowledge of MS Office; English skills.

Responsabilités

• Performing (preventive) maintenance, periodically checking and testing the operation of the wind turbines (or components).
• Troubleshooting and repairing failures, assembling components and main components as needed.
• Cooperating on workplace inspections, performing electrical works and safety compliant tasks.
• Carrying out mechanical works including assembly and maintenance of mechanical parts.
• Submitting material & services requests through the planner after consulting the foreman and ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Offering on-site support with specialist projects and assisting suppliers.
• Informing the customer, foreman and planner if service work cannot be completed.

Vestas Benelux is a Sales Business Unit with its main office in Arnhem (Netherlands) and is responsible for the Sales, Construction and Service of Vestas wind turbines in the Netherlands and Belgium. Our Benelux organization has approximately 150 employees, most of them Service Technicians working in the different regions. In the main office there're approximately 60 employees employed.

The goal of the Onshore Technician (f/m/d) role is to assemble, make operational, ready to operate and maintain the wind turbines under contract to the employer, so that they operate efficiently and effectively to make a maximum contribution to the operating result, with maximum customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Performing (preventive) maintenance, periodically checking and testing the operation of the wind turbines (or components), in accordance with current rules or work instructions
• Troubleshooting and, where possible, repairing failures, Assembling components and main components according to current rules or work instructions, if necessary making use of internal or external cranes.
• Cooperating on workplace inspections at worksites, Doing various electrical works (e.g. electrical connections, failure analysis and maintenance)
• Doing various mechanical works (e.g. assembly and maintenance of mechanical parts)
• Submitting requests to the planner of materials & services for specialists, after consultation with the foreman in your region, and ensuring that any allocated staff comply with the prescribed procedures, work instructions and rules relating to quality, working conditions, safety, the environment and engineering
• Offering on-site support with specialist projects and offering support to suppliers
• Informing the customer, the foreman and the workflow planner when, due to circumstances, the service work cannot be completed

Qualifications

• Experience and/or degree within electricity and/or mechanics. You are also eager to develop your skills within these areas
• Hydraulic experience is an advantage
• Professional experience in this area Basic knowledge of MS Office English skills
• Driver's license class B
• Living in Belgium close to Beerse or willing to relocate on own expense
