Job summary

MEININGER Bruxelles Gare du Midi is seeking Service Staff for full-time shifts. You will set up and clear the breakfast buffet, ensure a varied, appealing spread, and assist guests with food and beverage choices.

You’ll welcome guests, inform them about special offers, monitor stock, place orders, and keep your station clean. Flexibility across weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; Dutch language is a plus.
• BHV and Social Hygiene diplomas or willingness to obtain them.
• Experience in hospitality or service is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove the breakfast buffet.
• Ensure sufficient quantity and varied presentation of food and beverages.
• Prepare simple cold dishes (cheese/sausage platters, salads) and drinks; advise guests on ingredients.
• Act as host welcoming guests to breakfast and inform about offers.
• Maintain cleanliness of your work station per guidelines.
• Monitor stock, place orders, and check deliveries.
• Work across weekdays, weekends, mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

YOUR TASKS

• You are responsible for setting up and removing the buffet
• You ensure constant availability of sufficient quantity and varied selection of appealingly presented food and beverages to the guests
• You prepare simple cold dishes (cheese / sausage platters, salads etc) & drinks and advise guests on their composition & ingredients
• You act as a host welcoming guests to breakfast, informing them about special offers and F&B offering
• You maintain the cleanliness of your work station in line with prescribed guidelines and company standards
• You monitor the stock, place orders of food and consumables and check deliveries
• You enjoy diverse working environment and are flexible to work weekdays, weekends, early morning, afternoon and evening shifts

YOUR PROFILE

• You enjoy interacting with guests and have a pleasurable, open and stress resistant personality
• Early birds with flexible availability (sun- and holidays, evenings)
• BHV and Social Hygiene diplomas or the readiness to attain these
• You are a team player and happy to help your colleagues out
• You work efficiently and in a well-structured way
• You are fluent in English, Dutch is an advantage
• Ideally you already have experience in hospitality or service
