ACENSI Belgium is seeking a Windows Application Support Engineer to join the Data & App Support team. You will deploy and maintain in-house apps across acceptance and production, spanning Windows IIS and SQL, with a hybrid mix of Windows and Linux environments.

The role requires readiness for 24/7 on-call duty and collaboration with IT clients. Strong knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, PowerShell, and databases is expected, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven recent experience in supporting Applications on Linux RedHat, deploying apps, checking logs, and health/performance monitoring.
• Proven recent expert experience with Windows Server (2012-2022) with >10 years in administration.
• Proven knowledge of IIS management and web site deployments.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with MS-SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis Cache and related data stores (on-the-job coaching provided).
• Understanding of firewalls and network load balancing concepts.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilités

• Assist on day-to-day operational tasks like deploying and updating in-house applications in acceptance & production environments (mostly Windows IIS & SQL-based).
• Assist on application server architecture for deployment of new applications: analyse requirements, help design, and deploy in acceptance/production.
• Contribute to and validate DRP/BCP documents and partake in their execution.
• Interface with (mainly IT) clients.
• Second-line troubleshooting of issues.
• Configure F5 load balancing VIPs for web applications.
• Support core applications: RabbitMQ, Redis Cache and other shared technologies.
• Ensure 2nd/3rd level support with external vendors as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date operating and installation documentation.
• Participate in the duty roster (24/7, 1 in 6 weeks).
