Oliver James Group is seeking a Senior Test Manager in Brussels to lead and coordinate testing across projects within the Application team. You will guide a team of Test Analysts, ensuring quality, efficiency and timely delivery, while hands-on supporting testing activities and promoting AI-driven improvements.

The role requires hands-on AI testing experience, ISTQB certification, and strong stakeholder management. The position is hybrid, with 2 days on-site after onboarding in Brussels.

As part of its ongoing digital transformation, the company is looking for a Senior Test Manager to lead and coordinate testing activities within its Application team.

About the role

You will coordinate testing activities and guide a team of Test Analysts, ensuring quality, efficiency and successful project delivery. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating testing activities across different projects.
• Defining and overseeing test strategies, plans and execution.
• Working closely with Business Analysts, IT teams and other stakeholders.
• Managing priorities, resources, deadlines and testing risks.
• Following up on test execution, defects and delivery progress.
• Remaining hands‑on and supporting the team beyond reporting and coordination.
• Promoting the use of AI to improve test planning, test case generation and overall testing efficiency.
• Guiding team members in the effective use of AI and sharing your expertise across the team.

The ideal candidate

• Proven experience as a Senior Test Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and best practices.
• Mandatory: Proven hands‑on experience using AI in real testing activities and projects.
• Good command of English and at least one Belgian national language (French or Dutch); trilingualism is a strong advantage.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong delivery mindset and ability to manage challenging deadlines.
• Hands‑on approach, with the ability to get involved in operational testing activities.
• Ability to translate AI knowledge into practical testing approaches and coach team members.
• ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher) is mandatory/
• Experience in test automation is a plus, but practical AI experience is the priority.
