ATB Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Technician to join the Ghent Cell Biology Team. You will execute experiments, report data, and develop new assays while supporting daily lab operations.

Work includes cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA, and imaging techniques; ensure compliance to documentation practices and contribute to project data generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in a relevant field required.
• Practical experience in cell culture and cell-based assays.
• Experience with flow cytometry required.
• Experience with primary cells is a plus.
• Excellent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; results-driven.
• Proactive and fast-learning mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Execute experiments and report data as part of the Cell Biology Team.
• Develop and set up new assays and contribute to project deliverables.
• Support lab operations, equipment, and room safety.
• Generate data and collaborate with project team members.
• Write and review technical documents within the Quality Management System.
• Prepare protocols, reports, and SOPs with attention to accuracy.

To support our growing Cell Biology team, we are looking for a Senior Technician to join us in Ghent.

Your Role

As Senior Technician, you will be part of the Cell Biology Team, reporting to the Associate Director Cell Biology. You will execute experiments and report data, contribute to the development and setup of new assays, and support general lab operations.

This Is What You Will Be Working On

• Support the screening, identification and characterization of our lead candidates.
• Develop and apply methods for candidate screening and characterization of mechanisms of action.
• You will use a variety of technologies: cell culture (cell lines and primary cells), reporter assays, flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, High content imaging
• Complete lab procedures according to good documentation practices
• Generate data together with scientific members of the project team
• Support the Laboratory Manager by setting up labs, overseeing room-level safety, cleanness and housekeeping on a day-to-day basis, as well as equipment functionality.
• Write technical documents such as protocols, reports, and operating procedures within the Quality Management System.
• Review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Propose solutions and participate in investigations whenever needed.

Requirements

For a successful fulfilment of this position, we are interested in candidates meeting the following requirements:

• Scientific degree, Bachelor or Master, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industry or academia.
• Demonstrated practical experience in cell culture and cell-based assays.
• Demonstrated experience in flow cytometry.
• Experience with primary cells is considered a plus.
• Well-organized, precise and reliable. The selected candidate will be able to independently execute multiple experiments in a fast-developing environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a result-driven team, problem solving spirit is required.
• Deliver results and commit to achieving challenging objectives.
• Proactive, fast learner, flexible and can-do attitude.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic personality.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Excellent knowledge of English both in speech and in writing.
