START PEOPLE in Belgium is seeking an Operations Expert to join a biotech company developing CAR-T cell therapies. A Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Bio-Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related field is required; cell experience and GMP knowledge are highly valued.

You will work in a GMP cleanroom environment producing clinical and commercial ATMPs, participate in process optimization, write SOPs, manage materials, and support a dedicated team delivering life-changing treatments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Bio-Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or related field.
• Cell experience (internship or work-based) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations is a strong plus.
• Strong teamwork and clear English communication.

Responsabilités

• Produce clinical and commercial ATMPs in aseptic manual processes in a GMP cleanroom.
• Perform in-process control tests to ensure cell counts and viability.
• Maintain equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, and coordinating repairs.
• Contribute to process optimization and new product introductions in GMP areas.
• Support writing/review of SOPs and manage raw materials, consumables, and waste.

Your key responsibilities:

• Work daily in a Class A/B/C/D cleanroom environment and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
• Produce clinical and commercial ATMPs through aseptic manual processes, including cell isolation, selection, activation, transduction, culture, filling & finishing, and cryopreservation.
• Perform in-process control tests on batch samples, ensuring high standards for cell counts and viability.
• Ensure equipment operates smoothly by following instructions, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs.
• Contribute to process optimization, including the introduction of new products, procedures, and equipment in GMP areas.
• Support the writing and review of SOPs and other production-related documents, and manage raw materials, consumables, and waste.

Who we are looking for:

• You have obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sciences, Bio-Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience.
• Cell experience (internship or work-based) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations is a strong plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork are required.
• Clear communication in English with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a positive attitude.
• Motivated to learn independently and coach others.
