Aubay Belgium is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst with 10+ years of experience to translate business needs into precise technical specs and support a major transformation to a microservice-based architecture. You will work with Agile teams, help refine requirements, and diagnose UAT and production issues while guiding junior staff.

The role emphasizes data management, API design, and strong SQL skills, with fluency in English and a preference for Dutch or French.

Qualifications

• Experience in Agile/Scrum with strong BPMN and UML.
• Proficiency with SQL and data modeling; ability to query datasets and interpret results.
• Ability to design sequence diagrams and interface contracts for APIs (sync/async).
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and testing methodologies.

Senior Technical Analyst/ Data/SQL/ UML/ BPMN/ AGILE

On behalf of our client operating in the public sector, we are looking for an Senior Technical Analyst (10+ years of experience).

The Senior Technical Analyst transforms business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, ensuring smooth delivery by development and QA teams. He supports Agile refinement, contributes to issue diagnosis (UAT & production), and helps drive a major transformation project migrating a monolithic application to a microservice‑based architecture.

Tasks:

• Strong knowledge of UML, BPMN, and both functional and technical analysis.
• Ability to clearly describe both current (“as‑is”) and target (“to‑be”) business processes.
• Ability to estimate development time and cost collaboratively within a team setting.
• Proven expertise in opportunity analysis and strategic vision, with the capability to: challenge assumptions/ propose alternative solutions/ apply pragmatic decision‑making aligned with project goals/ optimize deliverables, timelines, budget, and quality.
• Knowledge of data management, enabling the analyst to query and interpret datasets to understand successful flows or error cases.
• Leadership potential for junior teams or project coordination tasks.

Profile & Skills:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum with strong skills in BPMN, UML, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence. Proficient with Git, Postman, SoapUI, and SQL, with solid exposure to microservices‑based architectures.
• Ability to design Sequence Diagrams, write interface contracts (synchronous and asynchronous), and build consistent data models with strong SQL expertise.
• Understanding of testing methodologies.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with very good command of English.
