Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, seeks a Senior Lead Engineer in Structural Engineering to join its Belgium-based team. You will lead complex infrastructure projects from concept to execution, with a focus on BIM and parametric design, and mentor junior engineers across multiple locations.

You will collaborate with architects, geotechnical engineers, and draftsmen, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction while driving sustainable solutions and continuous knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 20 years of experience in structural engineering projects (bridges, tunnels, railways, airports).
• Proven leadership and project management across all phases including sales, contracts, design, tendering, and execution.
• Strong BIM and parametric design knowledge.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; collaborative mindset.
• Dutch fluency; English or French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
• Act as an expert in structural engineering, providing technical design reviews and guidance for other projects.
• Drive the use of BIM and parametric design to enhance project efficiency and innovation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare and present project proposals, offers, and contracts with the commercial team.
• Ensure adherence to Tractebel’s quality system and health & safety regulations.
• Report project progress to management regularly.
• Mentor and support junior engineers; foster continuous learning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction.
• Collaborate with architects, subcontractors, and contractors during construction.
• Strive for sustainable and efficient engineering solutions.
• Stay updated with industry standards and share knowledge with the team.
