The EFTA Surveillance Authority in Brussels is seeking a well-qualified lawyer with extensive experience in EU/EEA state aid law to join the CSA. You will be responsible for assessing and handling state aid cases alongside a multidisciplinary team.

We require at least five years of relevant experience, excellent English language skills, and proven ability to cooperate with national authorities and European institutions in a high-profile international environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in law.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Expert knowledge of EU/EEA state aid law.
• Solid knowledge of the EU/EEA legal framework.
• Excellent legal drafting skills.
• Proven ability to cooperate with stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Initiative and ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• Assess and handle state aid cases.
• Examine complaints and notifications related to state aid.
• Prepare various state aid guidelines.
• Draft decisions and legal opinions on the effects of state aid and on the application of state aid rules and procedures.
• Participate in state aid working groups, as required.
