Black Pen Recruitment is seeking an Application Infrastructure Engineer to provide expert IT services remotely within the EU. The role sits in a team that collaborates closely with a major client’s IT department across production and non-production environments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT infrastructure, strong Linux/Windows server experience, and hands-on work with microservices, containers, Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms. Excellent English is essential.

Qualifications

• University Degree in IT and at least 10 years of IT professional experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mid/large IT infrastructure environments with deployment, support and maintenance of applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in application administration.
• 2+ years of experience with micro-services, container orchestration and container-based stacks (Docker, Kubernetes).
• 2+ years of experience administering Elasticsearch.
• 5+ years with enterprise Microsoft or Linux server solutions.
• 2+ years of Public/Hybrid Cloud services (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.

Responsabilités

• Application installation, configuration and administration in production and non-production environments;
• Application monitoring, performance tuning and continuous improvement of service quality.
• Applications support and maintenance: incident, change, release and problem resolution.
• Writing and validating procedures manuals, including troubleshooting guides and restore plans.
• Automating administrative tasks and providing install/technical support documentation.
• Maintaining the ICT Operations knowledgebase and supporting activities.
• Reporting on availability, performance, capacity and usage.
