Job summary

MEERAB GROUP is seeking a Splunk and Linux System Engineer to manage large-scale Linux infrastructure and administer Splunk platforms for monitoring, incident detection, and automation.

The role emphasizes data onboarding, dashboards, alerts, and health monitoring in production environments, with strong scripting and automation in Bash and Python, plus integration with CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of IT operations experience with large-scale Linux-based infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Splunk administration in production environments.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French and English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support production Splunk environments, including data onboarding, searches, dashboards, alerts, and health monitoring.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Bash and Python for monitoring, remediation, and reporting.
• Integrate Splunk with CI/CD pipelines and IaC processes (GitLab/Azure DevOps).
• Participate in ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management; coordinate with vendors and licensing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot VMware and container environments (Podman/OCI), with performance tuning and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with security and networking teams to integrate endpoint protection and network event data into Splunk for anomaly detection.
