Aerospacelab is looking for a Mechanism Engineer to join its satellite hardware team in Belgium. You will help design, analyze and validate precision mechanisms used in satellites, from concept through final assembly, testing and qualification.

You will work with hardware, software and systems teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute to state-of-the-art mechanisms for space missions.

Qualifications

• MSc degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; 5+ years in electro-mechanical roles.
• Experience in mechanism design; space experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to drive designs to completion across teams autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem solving.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency with standard mechanical/electronic design software.

Responsabilités

• Lead or support development of mechanism systems (pointing, deployable structures, attitude control).
• Cover specification, design, integration, testing, commissioning, and mass manufacturing.
• Perform concept trade-offs and overall design studies; validate products through testing.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team on mechanism projects.
• Support other teams (systems engineering, project management, AIT, avionics, procurement).
