InTouch, a Leuven/Sint-Truiden hub-based SaaS company, seeks a senior Solution Engineer to own complex projects from architecture to delivery. You’ll drive migrations to modern stacks, lead with Domain-Driven Design, and shape AI-native workflows across a small but ambitious team.

You will mentor engineers, align technical and product visions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining a strong focus on quality, reliability, and long-term platform health.

You're a senior, technically deep profile who takes full ownership of complex projects, not just how something gets built, but whether it should be built at all. The mission: building best-in-class mobility solutions

InTouch automates traffic enforcement with AI, bringing efficiency and safety to cities, municipalities and police districts. We build products that are stable, reliable and future-proof.

As Solution Engineer, you'll help lead our migration from legacy systems to a modern stack. Today that's JEE, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, PostgreSQL and Angular. Tomorrow it could be Go, React or something else entirely, because we choose our tools per problem.

We're moving towards AI-native development. You'll focus on context engineering, write custom skills for our agents and shape the workflows that let a small team ship far beyond its size. What agents can't replace is architecture: setting the direction, defining guardrails and knowing which design holds up in production. That's where your experience matters most.

You'll work across the full stack. We care less about which language you've mastered and more about how fast you pick up a new one, guide agents to build the right thing and own what reaches our customers.

You'll be the technical sparring partner of our architect. The architect owns the overall architecture direction and governance. You're in the trenches, building, modeling domains and validating decisions within your own domain.

Ownership & vision: own a project or domain end-to-end, build and communicate a clear technical and product vision, and align your team and stakeholders around it.
Mentor & guide: be a player-coach who supports junior and medior engineers, fosters a "no blame" culture, and represents the team in cross-team discussions.
Quality & craftsmanship: raise the engineering bar through testing, code reviews, and observability, and own what you deliver.
AI-native working: set the standard for AI-native working, build reusable skills and workflows, and safeguard the quality of AI-generated output.
Collaborate for success: partner across teams, pair-program with teammates and AI, and share knowledge through workshops and documentation.

Technical foundation

5+ years building scalable Java solutions (Spring Boot, JEE, Apache Camel, PostgreSQL), with strong system design experience.
Hands-on experience with Domain-Driven Design.
Comfortable leading transformation projects and legacy migrations.
Demonstrable AI-native development and context engineering experience.
Able to turn vision into action: project plans, risk assessment, and substantiated technical trade-offs.
A natural mentor and collaborator, strong in communication and coaching.
Quality-driven, sharp in problem analysis and judgment.
Flexible, resilient, and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.
