Job summary

Jobtailor in Belgium is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to design and maintain functional, integration, and system validation test scenarios for complex software platforms, including embedded systems.

You will develop and execute automated test cases, lead test strategy plans, analyze defects, and report quality risks to stakeholders; ISTQB Advanced and CTAE are required. Collaborate with Dev and Engineering to improve product quality throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing test strategies and plans.
• Proven track record in functional, integration and system testing.
• Knowledge of embedded systems testing and monitoring solutions.
• ISTQB Advanced Level and CTAE certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain functional, integration, and system validation test scenarios
• Define comprehensive test strategies and test plans aligned with project requirements
• Develop and execute automated test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage
• Validate interoperability between software modules and deployed network equipment
• Contribute to defect analysis, root cause identification, and validation of corrective actions
• Collaborate with development and engineering teams to improve product quality throughout the software lifecycle
• Execute functional, integration, and system validation tests
• Analyze anomalies, qualify fixes, and verify their effectiveness
• Manage and maintain test documentation, execution evidence, and reporting
• Monitor testing progress and communicate quality risks to project stakeholders
