Job summary

Gumption Group is seeking a dedicated embedded software testing professional in Genk, Belgium, to design and execute comprehensive test plans for embedded systems. You will analyze defects, document results, and collaborate with developers to drive quality across projects.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in embedded systems, testing tools, and hands-on debugging (including PLCs). Knowledge of Cloud, Zigbee, Bluetooth, or MQTT is a plus, with electronics/ICT education considered a

Qualifications

Solid understanding of embedded systems and technologies.
Ability to translate requirements into test scripts.
Experience in development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
Familiar with debugging embedded software (PLC, …).
Knowledge of software testing tools and techniques.
Strong documentation and teamwork skills.
Nice to have knowledge of Cloud, Zigbee, Bluetooth or MQTT.
Educational background in Electronics and ICT, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded software and systems.
Perform root cause analysis, document test results and report bugs.
Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, and report results.
Identify, report, and track defects.
Work with software developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
Communicate with project stakeholders to ensure that testing objectives are met.
Keep up-to-date with new testing tools and technologies.
Assist with performance- & security testing.
Test automation and scripting.
