Senior Software Engineer

ANTWERP

We are searching for a Senior Java developer with at least three years (+ master degree) or five years of overall software development experience, specifically in Java development. We are looking for individuals with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will create user information solutions by developing, implementing and maintaining Java-based components and interfaces. You will be responsible for Java application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Required skills

• Write readable and flexible code (cfr. Clean code).
• Java Development, Spring, JPA, Maven, etc.
• Happy with Agile development methods.
• Basic DevOps.

Considered a plus

• Knowledge of map matching tools or algorithms: Graphhopper, Barefoot, etc.

Preferred skills

• Good notions of distributed computing.
• Akka (https, actor, cluster).
• Scala.
• Vavr.
• Resilience4j.
• AWS (EB, SQS, RDS, …).
• Postgres / GIS.
