• Belgian nationality.
• Top Secret security clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• On-site Brussels assignment, five days per week; remote or hybrid not possible.
• Native-level Dutch or French, with strong command of the other national language and English.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate projects involving multiple technical teams and maintain alignment of priorities, dependencies, and timelines.
• Act as central point of contact for team leaders and stakeholders with clear reporting to management.
• Conduct project planning, budgeting, quality, risks, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate initiatives across at least five different teams.
• Perform risk analyses and propose mitigation or alternative plans.
• Monitor progress with structured reporting and ticketing systems (JIRA a plus).
• Ensure security-related changes are communicated clearly.
• Provide project reporting support and track performance indicators.
• Maintain clear, accessible documentation in English.
• Coach colleagues on project follow-up and PM practices.
• Work with both traditional and Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).

Function

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Security Project Manager to join our client’s team and take ownership of multiple high-impact security projects in a complex, highly sensitive IT environment. This is an opportunity for a seasoned project leader to work across Security, Infrastructure, Network and Development teams, driving initiatives from planning through successful delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality, risk, compliance and stakeholder communication.

The Role & Responsibilities

You will coordinate projects involving multiple technical teams, ensuring that priorities, dependencies and timelines remain aligned. You will act as the central point of contact for team leaders and stakeholders, providing clear reporting to management and proactively identifying risks or potential delays.

• Managing planning, budgets, quality, risks, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinating initiatives across at least five different teams.
• Performing project risk analyses and proposing pragmatic mitigation or alternative plans.
• Monitoring progress through structured reporting and ticketing systems; JIRA experience is a plus.
• Ensuring security-related changes are communicated clearly and effectively.
• Supporting teams with project reporting and actively following up on relevant performance indicators.
• Maintaining clear, structured and accessible documentation in English.
• Coaching colleagues on project follow-up and encouraging consistent project-management practices.
• Working effectively with both traditional project-management environments and Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban or Lean.

The Ideal Candidate

You bring at least 10 years of proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, including a minimum of 5 years working on security-related projects. You have a broad understanding of the complete project-management lifecycle and are comfortable operating in environments where operational priorities can change rapidly.

You should also have:

• Experience with established project-management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2 or RUP, combined with the ability to work with Agile teams.
• Experience with compliance and compliance reporting.
• A strong understanding of the IT security landscape and the ability to communicate effectively with Security, Network, Infrastructure and Development professionals.
• High-level knowledge of secure configurations for networks, servers/workstations and peripherals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Linux and Android.
• Knowledge of security and risk frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR and DORA is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of security concepts including Zero Trust, SIEM, SOAR, PKI, cryptography, DevSecOps, IAM/PAM and cloud security.
• Familiarity with security monitoring and incident-response technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR and IDS/IPS is a plus.

You lead by example, share knowledge with colleagues and adapt quickly to complex environments. Given the sensitive nature of the assignment, discretion, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.

Mandatory requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of proven professional experience.
• Belgian nationality.
• Existing Top Secret security clearance, or willingness to undergo the required security screening and obtain one.
• The assignment is fully on-site in Brussels, five days per week; remote or hybrid working is not possible.
• Native-level Dutch or French, with a strong command of the other national language and English.
