Job summary

EngiFlex BV seeks an experienced SAS developer to reinforce a BI/DWH team. You will contribute to SAS applications and data processing solutions used by public-sector organizations.

The role covers development, testing, production support, maintenance, and optimization in an established environment. You will collaborate with analysts, architects, and data engineers, maintaining and evolving SAS workloads while implementing complex business rules in a pragmatic, results-oriented manner.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on SAS development in Data Warehouse environments.
• Strong SAS Base knowledge: DATA Step, PROC SQL, Macro language, advanced techniques.
• Solid experience with SAS ETL and core SAS Base/ETL/Macro in daily work.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL, and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Hands-on with file formats: Excel, XML, JSON, XLSX, CSV, and flat files.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data integration processes.
• Proven ability to analyse, maintain, and optimise SAS applications.
• Ability to interpret complex business rules and implement them pragmatically.
• Analytical, structured, autonomous, and collaborative with team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and functional requirements with analysts.
• Develop, test, and maintain SAS Base applications and data processing programs.
• Build, improve, and optimise ETL processes in a DWH context.
• Carry out unit tests and support integration testing.
• Provide corrective and evolutionary maintenance for existing applications.
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of SAS programs and batch processes.
• Create and update technical and functional documentation.
• Collaborate closely with analysts, architects, data engineers, and developers.
