Job summary

In4Matic is seeking an experienced Senior SAS Developer/Consultant to join our BI and Data Warehouse team. You will contribute to development, maintenance, and optimization of data processing solutions within an established application environment, translating business requirements into technical solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in SAS development, strong SAS Base skills, experience with ETL, and hands-on work with Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAS development in DWH environments.
• Strong SAS Base proficiency: DATA Step, PROC SQL, SAS Macro Language.
• Experience with Excel, XML, JSON, and flat files.
• Experience integrating SAS with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Good understanding of ETL concepts and data processing workflows.
• Ability to translate complex business rules into efficient technical solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on SAS professional who can quickly understand existing systems, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and contribute to both ongoing application improvements and new development initiatives.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements in collaboration with business analysts.
• Develop, test, maintain, and optimize SAS Base applications and data processing programs.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of ETL processes and data integration solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities.
• Handle corrective and evolutionary maintenance of existing applications.

Your Technical Profile

• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in SAS development and Data Warehouse (DWH) environments.
• Strong expertise in SAS Base, including DATA Step, PROC SQL, SAS Macro Language, and advanced SAS programming techniques.
• Experience working with different file formats, including Excel, XML, JSON, and flat files.
• Practical experience integrating SAS with relational databases, particularly Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, and data processing workflows.
• Proven ability to analyze, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing SAS applications.
• Ability to understand complex business rules and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
