Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Senior QA & Technical Lead to join the F&A IT Solutions team in Brussels. This dual role blends Quality Assurance and Testing with technical and architectural responsibilities.

You will own the QA and testing approach for the Cognos environment, lead UAT and regression testing, and define testing standards. You will mentor developers and collaborate with finance and IT stakeholders to ensure stable delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with IBM TM1 and Cognos Analytics in financial planning and reporting.
• Strong QA/Testing background including UAT and regression testing.
• Experience as Technical Lead or Architect or similar senior role.
• Understanding STLC and test automation.
• Experience with financial systems reporting, planning or consolidation.

Responsibilities

• Own the QA and testing approach for the Cognos environment.
• Lead UAT and regression testing and ensure data and reporting changes are validated.
• Define and improve testing standards and processes for the development team.
• Take ownership of the technical quality of releases.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the application architecture and data integrations.
• Provide technical back-up for Architect & Technical Manager when required.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and act as a technical escalation point.
• Mentor junior developers and support the development team.
• Work closely with business, finance and IT stakeholders to ensure delivery and stable operation.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise with TM1 and Cognos Analytics.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions to ensure robust financial reporting systems.

You will work mainly with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Cognos Analytics and Cognos Controller, supporting systems used for financial planning, consolidation and reporting.

• Own the QA and testing approach for the Cognos environment.
• Lead UAT and regression testing and ensure financial data and reporting changes are properly validated.
• Define and improve testing standards and processes for the development team.
• Take ownership of the technical quality of releases.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the wider application architecture and data integrations.
• Provide technical back-up for the Architect & Technical Manager when required.
• Contribute to technical design decisions and act as a technical escalation point.
• Mentor junior developers and support the development team.
• Work closely with business, finance and IT stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery and stable system operation.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
• Strong experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Experience with Cognos Controller is highly relevant.
• Solid background in QA and software testing, including UAT and regression testing.
• Good understanding of STLC and test automation.
• Experience working with financial systems, particularly financial reporting, planning or consolidation.
• Understanding of application architecture and data integration.
• Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to business and finance stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced team members.
