EngiFlex in Belgium is seeking an accomplished Project Manager to lead complex CAPEX projects in the process industry from concept through commissioning.

You will own scope, budget, schedule and quality, guide cross-functional teams of mechanical, electrical, piping, civil and EHS professionals, and report progress to senior stakeholders. Dutch and English proficiency required; PMP or Prince2 is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager for industrial CAPEX projects.
• 7+ years as a Project Engineer in mechanical, electrical, piping or civil engineering.
• Experience with CAPEX budgeting, investment approvals, and commissioning of industrial installations.
• Background in the process industry."

Project overview

For this role, you will lead complex multidisciplinary CAPEX projects within the process industry. You are accountable for scope, budget, timing, quality and safety across both greenfield developments and major modifications to existing industrial facilities.

Primary tasks & responsibilities

• Direct industrial engineering projects from concept and feasibility through engineering, execution, commissioning and final handover to operations.
• Define and manage project scope, deliverables, budget, business case, investment approval and baseline planning in MS Project.
• Coordinate all project phases, including pre-study, concept selection, basic and detailed engineering, procurement, contractor selection, construction, site execution, commissioning and operational transfer.
• Act as the key point of accountability for internal stakeholders and management.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, electrical, automation, piping, civil and EHS disciplines, working closely with both internal and external parties.
• Manage scope changes, risks, claims and deviations that affect budget, schedule or delivery.
• Report in a structured way on project progress, issues and decisions to steering committees and senior stakeholders.

Your profile

Technical profile requirements

• You bring at least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, with proven end-to-end ownership of industrial CAPEX projects.
• You also have at least 7 years of experience as a Project Engineer in areas such as mechanical, electrical, piping or civil engineering.
• You have solid experience with pre-feasibility and concept studies, CAPEX budgeting, investment approval and the commissioning of industrial installations.
• Background in the process industry is essential.
• You have strong practical expertise in MS Project and take real ownership of project planning instead of limiting yourself to follow-up activities.
• You combine an academic level of thinking with strong analytical skills and a broad helicopter view.

Methodology / certification requirements

• VCA-Vol is mandatory.
• PMP / Prince2 is considered a plus.
