Job summary

WLG, a multinational defence organisation, is seeking a senior Oracle E-Business Suite functional consultant to support second/third line incidents and ensure the month-end close is accurate. You will analyse requirements, design functional specifications, estimate effort, test changes end-to-end, and train users while collaborating with ITIL processes and Remedy ticketing.

Fluent English and strong Oracle EBS experience across GL, Payables, Receivables and Cash Management are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 Financials and Purchasing: General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management and Sub-Ledger Accounting
• Solid grasp of E-Business Tax, Purchasing and Fixed Assets flows and what they do to the General Ledger
• Budgetary control, encumbrance and accrual accounting, ideally in a public sector setting
• Month-end and year-end close, reconciliation, consolidation, revaluation, bank reconciliation and electronic payment formats
• Finance approval workflows, travel claim processes and the reporting that sits on top of it all
• Experience of L2/L3 support, basic SQL, configuration management and ITIL 4 with BMC Remedy
• Sustained recent assignments in this space and full professional English

Responsibilities

• Resolve second and third line incidents and service requests on Oracle EBS Financials and Purchasing
• Analyse new requirements and change requests, write functional design and documentation
• Estimate effort for changes and ensure end-to-end testing before acceptance
• Escalate hard cases to vendor or other teams and monitor until resolved
• Build knowledge base, train users on best practices and run briefings
• Collaborate with the wider team in daily stand-ups and planning sessions
