In4Matic is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle DBA & Linux Infrastructure Engineer in Brussels. You will own Oracle databases (19c+) and Linux systems, ensuring availability, performance, security and robust infrastructure operations for critical applications.

Responsibilities include tuning, patching, backups with RMAN, storage management, migrations, and DR/BC testing. You will collaborate with development teams, maintain standards, and support cloud modernization and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production-critical environments.
• Minimum 5 years of Linux system administration experience in production-critical environments.
• Advanced experience with Oracle Database 19c+.
• Advanced knowledge of RMAN Backup & Recovery.

Responsabilités

• Administering and maintaining Oracle Database 19c and newer environments.
• Monitoring database health, availability, capacity and performance.
• Performing Oracle performance tuning, security configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Managing database storage and capacity planning.
• Executing and supporting database migrations and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
• Defining and maintaining database standards, models and operational best practices.
• Supporting Oracle licensing and compliance-related activities.

• Supporting development teams with SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimization and performance analysis of packages, views and triggers.

• Maintaining relevant infrastructure and configuration information within the CMDB.
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in production environments.
• Manage OS and security updates, patches and server lifecycle activities.
• Manage LVM, file systems and Linux storage.
• Perform system performance and capacity monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux, database and infrastructure issues.
• Automate recurring administrative activities using Bash / shell scripting.
• Support infrastructure migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Provide operational support for business-critical applications running on Oracle and Linux.
• Perform incident analysis, root-cause analysis and structural problem resolution.
• Contribute to infrastructure modernization, cloud transition and cybersecurity compliance initiatives.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Oracle DBA & Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our client’s infrastructure team in Brussels. This role combines senior Oracle database administration with hands-on Linux infrastructure management in a business-critical enterprise environment.

You will take ownership of the stability, performance, security and evolution of Oracle databases and the Linux systems supporting them. The environment includes critical applications where availability, disaster recovery, security and robust infrastructure operations are key priorities.

Role & Responsibilities

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience in production-critical environments.
• Minimum 5 years of Linux system administration experience in production-critical environments.
• Advanced experience with Oracle Database 19c+.
• Advanced knowledge of RMAN Backup & Recovery.
• Strong experience with Oracle performance tuning, security management and patch management.
• Advanced SQL and PL/SQL knowledge, including debugging and performance analysis.
• Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
• Advanced knowledge of Bash / shell scripting, LVM and Linux storage management.
• Experience with system monitoring, performance analysis, patching and complex troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with Disaster Recovery testing, database upgrades and migrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Oracle Linux, virtualization technologies and infrastructure monitoring or automation tools is an advantage.
• Able to work autonomously and solve complex technical problems in changing environments.
• Strong documentation skills and a service-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.

The role is performed in a hybrid working model in the Brussels area.
