Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, invites engineers to join the Core and Fuel Studies group to advance core physics, fuel safety and multiphysics developments for reactors. You will work across fuel safety, core neutronics, and thermal-hydraulics in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

We value engineers with 5–10 years in nuclear fuel and core physics, IT skills (Python), and a drive to grow across disciplines. Hybrid work, competitive package, and global opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Citizen/engineer with nuclear energy focus or physics degree.
• 5–10 years of experience in nuclear fuel and core physics.
• Interest to widen technical competences across core physics.
• Proficient IT skills, especially Python, or willingness to learn quickly.
• SMRs/Gen4 reactor knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Engineering studies in core and fuel physics using industry-standard methods and tools.
• Provide expertise in fuel behaviour, core neutronics, or thermal-hydraulics with multiphysics.
• Participate in R&D projects related to Core Physics applications.
• Write engineering and synthesis reports of analyses.
• Coordinate across areas and contribute to tender calls and business growth.
• Provide training on various areas of expertise.
• Regularly report to the Group Manager on relevant domains.
