Gas Infrastructure Belgium is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our IT/OT infrastructure team in Belgium. You will contribute to critical network projects, cloud connectivity, security, and modernization across enterprise LAN/WAN environments.

The role requires hands-on Cisco Wireless, routing and switching expertise, cloud know-how, and network automation experience with Python or Ansible. Initial 3 months onsite, then 3 days onsite/2 remote, and travel as needed.

Qualificações

• Hands-on Cisco Wireless experience is required.
• Cloud technologies in real environments is a must.
• Experience with network automation using Python and/or Ansible.
• Strong routing and switching knowledge: OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP, MST.
• Extensive Cisco networking knowledge for enterprise LAN/WAN.
• Fluent English with French or Dutch at C1/C2 level.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a leading gas infrastructure client in Belgium, contributing to critical IT and OT network infrastructure, cloud connectivity, network security, and modernization projects.

Contract Duration: Until end of October 2027 (Possibility of Extension )

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite during the first 3 months; thereafter, 3 days onsite and 2 days flexible, subject to operational requirements.

Cisco Wireless – hands-on experience is mandatory.

Cloud Technologies – practical experience with cloud environments.

Network Automation – experience with Python and/or Ansible.

Routing & Switching – strong knowledge of OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP, MST, and related protocols.

Network Infrastructure – knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and enterprise LAN/WAN environments.

Languages – proficiency in French C1/C2 or Dutch C1/C2 and fluency in English.

• Knowledge of Cisco ACI or Cisco SD-WAN.
• Firewall technologies, including Check Point and Palo Alto.
• Network monitoring, NAC, and centralized syslog tools.
• Cisco ISE, TACACS, RADIUS, Zabbix, and Elastic.
• Microsoft Azure and data centre networking.
• Operate, maintain, and secure enterprise network infrastructure across IT and OT environments.
• Support network deployment, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.
• Contribute to cloud connectivity, data centre projects, and WAN modernization.
• Execute network changes carefully in a business environment supporting 24/7 operations.
• Collaborate with ICT teams across Belgium and other European locations.
• Background in Computer Science or a related field.
• Own car and willingness to travel to Belgian locations.
• Availability for a standby rotation of up to one week in four.
• Ability to work onsite full-time during the first three months.
